Studies show that doula-supported births have- lower c-section rates, fewer birth complications, fewer interventions, higher birth satisfaction rates, and lower perinatal mood disorders.

Studies show that the most effective tool to improve labor and birth outcomes is continuous support.

  • What is a doula?

A doula is a non-clinical support person who tends to a family during the birth process. They provide evidenced-based support & unbiased informational services from pregnancy through postpartum. They provide physical & emotional support for the birthing client & partner.

  • Isn't a doula only for home births?

Not at all! Doulas provide support in any birth setting — hospitals, birth centers, or at home. Studies show that continuous support from a doula, regardless of location, can have a profound positive impact on labor and birth outcomes.

  • Do doula's only attend natural births?

Absolutely not! This is your body, your birth, your why! I am here to support you and ensure you have made an informed decision. My job is not to sway you; it is to support and encourage you.

  • Does a doula replace my partner or medical staff?

Certainly not! I work alongside you and your partner, offering guidance and comfort measures so you can approach birth as a team. Doulas provide non-clinical, emotional, and physical support — we don’t replace your midwife, OB, or hospital staff, but instead complement their care to ensure you feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout your birth experience.

  • Do you provide payment plans or accept medicaid?

I strive to make sure every family has access to the support they deserve, regardless of financial circumstances. Please fill out an inquiry form, and I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs.

At this time, I’m not able to accept Medicaid, but I hope to offer that option soon!
